Interview...do you think I fluffed it?

Sailed through HR and phone interview. Going for head of dept job but they had one of the folk I'd be managing asking questions too, the head of office and a guy on the phone overseas. I'd say I answered 2/3rds of questions ok but the pivotal questions ie those that would distinguish me as a leader of a group, I reckon I did ok, but rambled and missed some stuff I'd do if I got the job when I think back and should have said that. I think I had better rapport with guy on phone and there was a subject area I had to say I didn't have experience in as I was assured that aspect of the job was covered, but obviously it isn't. Afterwards, they just said thx for coming but nothing about next steps. The guy on phone said if I had any questions atall, do not hesitate to contact him at all ( politeness? ). The hr guy said he'd ring me yesterday to see how I felt it went but he didnt. Interview was Thursday afternoon, went on 90 mins. I feel it didn't go great but I guess it depends who else they have. Bearing in mind the interview team would have to regroup with the guy in US, when is a reasonable time for them to get back? And listening to above, do you reckon I fluffed it? Thx....

I've only just joined Mn and have only just discovered the employment freds.
I've been job seeking since March and have not had any success with the interviews I've gone to. I previously used to recruit for restaurants and have learnt to read the end of interview closing conversations.
I'm sure you realise that if they don't mention what the next steps are it's probably not going to be a yes.
I've taken to asking the interviewers at the end what will happen next if they don't divulge it, some have been quite flustered by the question, which I find odd.
It is totally unacceptable for HR not to phone when they said they would.
Hopefully they've contacted you now!

Good luck either way.

I aplied for loads of jobs before I got the one I wanted.

I also aplied for more than one job at a time and had multiple interviews

If I did not get one job, I knew I had another interview lined up
