SMP calculation help

hi

2 questions:

  1. if I get my salary paid into my account the day before the "official" payslip date, which date should be used for the 6 weeks calculation (I would have assumed is the paydate on the payslip)

  2. My employer has given me my SMP calculation. I think this is wrong and expect the figure to be higher as earned more than average in the 6 week period. Is it worth arguing now, or will this come out when I actually get paid?

    Thanks!

There is a SMP calculator on here so that you can check; and I think that it will be based on your payslip dates.

www.gov.uk/maternity-paternity-calculator/y/maternity

If you do the calculator, does that tie-in with what you thought you'd get or your employer?

Use the following calculator to check what your payments should be. If they are wrong raise it with your employer.
