delayed pay award

Just want to check my assumptions on this- am assuming it is tough luck...

I am taking VR and have to leave by the 31st july. We get an annual pay award that is usually finalised and paid in July, and backdated to 1st April. Just looked on the intranet and they are delaying the pay award until August this year! I assume that since I have to leave the payroll in july I will therefore not be entitled to my bonus or backpay?

And am I being cynical to assume they have deliberately delayed their timetable this year until after the voluntary redundancies are gone?!

It would be normal not to get bonuses or pay increase while under notice.

Thanks, that's what I thought. It is just that both bonuses and party rises are always effective from the 1st April, they just take their time getting around to giving them out, then have to back date them, which is a pain.
