I have resigned from jobs before. At least 3 times. But this time I have only been in the job 6 weeks. I've been offered another role which I think will suit me better in the long term.
I feel very guilty about leaving my current job as it was an opportunistic appointment and it is a reasonably senior role(professional services firm - but not partner - or anywhere near it even! ). The current firm have also been very good about accommodating my request for hours, salary etc. Problem is I just don't feel like I fit in, employees are very closely monitored (every email is automatically copied to a partner) and the work I've been given is pretty basic.
I don't need a reference from this job so I could just cite personal reasons and leave it at that. Or I could tell them about the new job
I am getting ridiculously stressed about the situation. So any thoughts appreciated
