Due to start new job, can't do it

I don't want to give too much away, but I'm due to start a new job next week which would stretch family in terms of working hours.

To cut a very long story short, I am going to ask my H to move out so we can work out some big issues so I can't take on full time hours.

I have already signed a contract but I can't do it. I am emotional wreck and have no family to help with childcare.

What should I do?

Can spend new week finding a cm to enable you to start ? Even if you are separated could h not cover the times he was originally going to ?

Au pair? An agency can get one in situ very quickly. Would tide you over for a short period.
(Assuming your DC are older?)

Having been through a. Messy divorce and knowing what havoc it can cause on your finances I think you probably need this to work. It will give you the financial independence to make the right decision for you.

Hi

I am in a similar dilemma. I resigned from and have now retracted it due to moving my children school and the after school clubs in the local area have a 26 person waiting list and im not particularly keen on CM's.

The new role would be 10-4 over 4 days but it would cost me almost £100 a week getting to and from the new job....why I did not work this out before accepting.

Anyway its 2 weeks before im due to start the new role at my old company...feel really bad as I have tried really hard to source care ie contacting children school rep, speaking to people who live locally and nothing.

What can I write to the other company as way of apologising for messing them around
