A question for interviewers

I had an interview yesterday for a dream job... There will be another round of interviews for successful candidates. I hope think it went quite well, and certainly finished on a high point.

As I was being escorted out by the lead interviewer - he said 'well done' quite enthusiastically.

Is this just him being pleasant? A 'thanks and goodbye' would have easily sufficed... Any thoughts?

clutches at straws

Thanks

It can be a good sign although if I'm escorting a candidate out and they say that they were nervous I usually say 'really? You did really well' as I'm a bit soft.

Only if they've been absolutely shite have I not said that!

you might have done well, but someone could come along after you and do better. So I really wouldn't read too much in to it. But good luck!

Thanks Maggie... In beginning to worry that is exactly what has happened. I haven't heard from them within the timescales they said I would....
