Where does he stand?

Posting for my 17yo DS. He was recently employed by a pub chain for a new pub-restaurant opening in a months time. At his interview he was told there'd be a 3 week training period, he informed them that he would be away next wed until bank hol mon. He was told that would be ok as they wouldn't be training over the bank hol weekend. He's just (at 22:00 hrs this evening) received his training schedule which not only is all over the time he's on his holiday including the bank hol weekend and mon, but also encroaches onto his first week back at sixth form. He's going to phone them tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone here could advise please?

Has the training schedule come through from a different person than he spoke to about his restrictions or something?

All he can do is as you say, speak to the appropriate person and see if it's a mistake and/or if can be changed.
