Hi
I dont know if anyone can help me with this question?
I work for a local authority and have to apply for the job that i am currently doing and for less hours...crazy i know lol!
One of the questions i need answering as part of the process to express an interest in my current position is the following - provide and example of a task that i believe could be streamlined to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the admin team?
I am totally stumped and i just dont know where to start :-(
Does anyone have any ideas that they can throw my way to get me started, then i could possibly roll with it and im sure it will flow...
TIA

Can you identify tasks, rolescthatvyou currently do. That will be your starting point. Think about tasks that involve hours, people etc and see if that can be made effective. If you give me some examples I can try think aloud for you. Can you identify a procedure that can be done quicker, differently?

Can you read up on Lean and use that in a process improvement?

Do you have any tasks where there is double or triple handling that may be unnecessary?

Is there anything that requires you to start something, then put it down, then go back to it to do something else that you could do all at once?

Are there any tasks that are historical hangovers? I.E they used to be relevant but, because of changes in the business or in technology available to you are no longer relevant?
