Hi, again
I've also posted on here about was 'I stupid to sign' but have something else to pick your brains with!
Like I said in my other post I returned after 10 months off maternity leave in September, I was in the office a couple of months ago and had to search something on the computer using my name on looking I found a 3 page document on what the manager and staff thought was wrong with me! personally and perfessionally (it was under those headings!) It was awful lots of it lies or things that were petty blown out of control making it look really bad!
I quizzed a member of staff and trustworthy friend about this and was told shortly before my return most staff were given forms to fill out about me, she said she wasent happy about it and felt it was bullying and put her in a horrible posistion and even said to the manger anything she put she had already discussed directly with me. 2 members of staff there are complete arse kissers with the managers and would of loved this as they wanted my job so I can pinpoint alot of what was said to them. I'm fuming as I've been there 8 years and some of the things mentioned go as far back as this! She still hasent spoken to me about any of these issues and yet if they are as bad as they make out why not? I would be met with an absolute nightmare if I tackled this with her and it would be very difficult to get my point across as she likes yes/no people! I should be going on maternity leave in June do I wait until I'm off and then tackle this as type in a letter a response to everything on this document including excatly the way she treats/talks to me as some of things in it are very hypocritcal (spelling?)

They were handed forms to fill out about you?

shock

<picks jaw off floor>

Are you in a union?

Have you printed out the document (in triplicate)?

Hopefully some one more knowledgeable about employment law will be along to advise...

I know, it's disgusting is'nt it, She had thought she had deleted the document as it was in the trash and used a memory stick to put it onto the computer, so I'm guessing has copies at head office
I did print it off and I am in a union
I keep thinking if nothing happens between now and june go with it and then cause havoc when I go, All that keeps popping into my head is sentances of this document which makes me so angry and it's so hard to work with this people knowing that there all backstabbers!

This sounds like bullying. If the company has an issue with your performance it should be dealt with through the performance appraisal and disciplinary channels, not by encouraging people to slag you off. If you're in a union you shpuld get them involved before talking to your manager and HR. If not you could try talking to ACAS.

You need to IMMEDIATELY put in writing that you signed the form that you were given on Wednesday trusting that it would accurately reflect the discussions that were had about your working hours. You were given it without any indication of the different terms (state what was different in the form from your verbal agreement). You do not agree with the terms having now had the opportunity to read it and will be seeking advice, as it is significantly different to what was discussed. That was in reply to your other post.
Having read this post I would see a solicitor with this document you have found <gobsmacked>. Whatever you do act quickly don't wait until you go off in June because there are short timescales for raising grievances in employment law, and that is about the extent of my knowledge!

TheCrackFox Sat 21-Jan-12 18:09:41

I would phone the union first thing Monday morning. This is bullying and discrimination and is not on.

TheCrackFox Sat 21-Jan-12 18:11:11

Don't wait till June to deal with this.

Blimey that's appalling! If I was you I'd also print out the document path (that shows where you found it and hopefully the author of it)

The only thing this could possibly be is feedback from your colleagues about your performance as part of your appraisal. But imo that should be requested with your knowledge and permission

shock I haven't read your other thread, I will do now.

Stealth Is right that it could be apart of your performance review but you should have been informed, it could also be part of a HR meeting if a few people complained about you at the same time?
