if so do you have targets? are they acheiveable? if they are difficult to reach how do you manage?

Dh has told me that as of Monday all their personal targets has been doubled and he is worried how he will meet them. He gets commission too.

He has only been there since September and is worried about not doing a good job.

DP has been working in sales for the last year but not sure if it will be the same thing - he is 100% commission based and gets ridiculous targets!!

Are they working to a quarter/year-end target perhaps, and that is how much they now need to achieve in order to meet it ?

what kind of sales environment is it?

if they are allr egularly reaching their targets i can see why they would have increased them, although double does seem a lot!

the sales team at dp's company never reach their targets! lol

It is a recruitment consultants that he works in. He is not 100% commission based he gets a basic then commission on top of that but he is worried about fitting all the new increased duties into each day. he doesn't think there will be enough time in the day. Does anyone have any advice?

I would imagine it's just an over-zealous new manager (or poss a competetive manager).

Everyone will be in the same boat so I wouldn't worry too much.

recruitment consultants' activity can fluctuate fairly rapidly. I think there isnt a lot of job security anyway, you have to rely on keeping good skills so that you can pick up another job quickly.

if he is in the IT sector, it is stirring a bit at the mo, so I can believe that they would be increasing targets.

Hi there it is catering and hospitality recruitment. This time of year is quiet but it should pick up after new year. doesn't help targets though!
