Dads had 2 falls and a " found on his knees " ( I've seen that happen, that's fiddling in his bottom drawer or under the bed and not being able to get up so I do t think that " counts") in past 48hrs again. He's more confused too.

Desperately working on avoiding admission if we realistically can. Meeting the advanced nurse practitioner later. Hope it's uti or similar - the only worry will be if he's bumped his head I guess.

If you've been following my saga you'll know we had a scary and frustrating time in the oval hospital recently that was definitely not in his best interest.

Well head been checked and we are all hoping its viral...
He still wants to go out to choose a little Xmas tree so that's good. Wilco for us !

Not hugely optimistic for the weekend as he was coughing a bit when I left, but hey, even at nearly 92 you can have just a cold can't you !

Sugarplum I am just so determined to avoid hospital unless it's really in his best interest. It's just not the place for a very old chap with dementia.

I totally agree with you and that's the call we'll be making. It is cold season, lots of people hacking away down here.
