I'm a regular and I've name changed. I just need to get something off my chest without the risk of being recognised as a couple of people IRL know my Mumsnet name.

My mother is very nearly 81. She is in reasonably good health apart from a few things, one of which could be life threatening. However recently she has suddenly been getting very tired and can't get the energy to do anything, until then she was incredibly active for her age.
From a few things she has said and things I have observed I can't help but think she is not going to be with us much longer I just needed to say it to somebody and can't say it within the immediate family because it will get back to her what I think. Obviously I hope I am completely wrong but I can't shake this feeling off.
My father is very ill and that is a cause for concern but we already know the implications of his ill health but this with my mother is new.

Big hugs, my lovely in laws are similar ages, and my dfil has been in hospital for five months with various issues, but his dementia is awful now. Really sad. :(
