Mother's day

My mum smashed her heel bone last week and has gone from being a fit, fabulous do everything ' child care support' to being in a wheelchair. We are all hoping it's temporary but we don't know. I'm looking for ideas for mother's day and her birthday (a week away from each other) to make the day special but not over the top in a way she'd find uncomfortable.

Any thoughts or ideas would be really welcome.

Nice tea out in a swanky hotel for one of the events. n.b. hotels have more room for wheelchairs than tea shops!

Mobile phone if she hasn't got one!

agree with ppippop . Do the tea date for her birthday not mothers day, think of the crowds!

No problem with cinema/theatre etc though as long as you can park OK as you can book a wheelchair space and may get a carer in free/reduced fee.

Sadly temporary disability means no blue badge though.
