telephones/answering machine for dementia sufferers?

Hi my dear friend has dementia and is now struggling to use her various machines. She has a fax machine which she often needs to use but is gettng very confused aso how to use it. Really want to help her, are there devices available, where can I go for advice? Thank you.

Or just get the simplest model and write out a step by step guide in simple langugage so she has something to refer to.

However, you may have to face the sad fact that she cannot now use something she used to use.

Sorry triplets - I see that your friend needs an easy to use fax .
Maybe ask the RNIB if they have advice ,I know sight is not the issue but they maybe able to suggest something which renders use less complex ?

The RNIB shop near Kings Cross is very good and the staff are very helpful .

Hello, have a mother with late stage dementia so feel for you; we got a big button phone- there is also a model (BT I think) that enables you to put photos on the presets keys- might help.
Alzheimers society very helpful too.
