Elderly parents

Finding clothes for a 90 year old - where??

Hello,

Not my mum but my granny! We are increasing finding it more and more difficult to find traditional style clothes for my 90 year old granny. She is wanting traditional knee length pleated skirts, matching blouse and cardi but not low cut. M&S even seems to stop catering when you reach this age.

Does anyone know of shops even online that do clothes for older ladies?

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are still high street shops for elderly women, you've probably just walked past them - Blustons on Kentish Town Road springs to mind if you're in London

Have you tried the M&S Classic range?

Also Bon Marche if you hunt a bit.

I would agree with pamplemousse, Damart mail order. My Mum is 91 and gets stuff from there. Also another catalogue called Chums.

My mum shops with Ambrose Wilson,'you can't find a panty girdle anywhere else' Hmm, but I think Daxon is what your granny is looking for.

A copy of Peoples Friend would have adverts which are appropriate

Thank you very much for all your suggestions. Just been through a few of them and they have the type of clothes she is looking for. Have ordered her a couple of skirts as a start.

My 90yr old mum buys a lot of things from the damart catalogue, - they are quite good quality and warm. And if you buy anything from any of these companies, you seem to suddenly start getting sent catalogues from all sorts of similar ones Smile

I agree with those who say Damart. Heather Valley online are also good. I got two lovely blouses for my Gran (she is 97) from there for Christmas.
