Sherfield School - near Reading

Help Please. Does anyone know anything about Sherfield School. We are relocating from oop narth to RG7 and need to find a school for all 3. Any advice on any school in the Reading Basingstoke area MUCH appreciated.

Our DD goes to Sherfield and loves every minute. She has been there for the last 2 years. I have so far been impressed with the work she is doing and the quality of the teaching.

I'm afraid I don't know any other schools closer to Reading as we live on the other side of the school near to Basingstoke.

Sherfield School - we are thinking of sending our 12 year old son there in September as a day boy as live close by. Can anyone let me have feedback if there child is around that age and is there now please?

No, don't do it! The traffic is bad enough already!

Can't comment on the school, but cars turning into school definitely slow down the A33 commute. :-)

And more seriously, travelling is something to take into account - RG7 is quite a large area, and some roads in the morning are horrendous. It can also depend on direction - A33 north to Reading is generally easier than south to Basingstoke. I don't suggest travel should be the only factor, far from it, but if it came down to a choice between schools, it could be a deciding factor.

DD has been a pupil for 7yrs and is thriving ! Traffic is fine, good days and bad but no different to other schools.
