KJust listened with incredulity at some idiot bloke on Y & Y saying that 'lots of different bodies will work together to give autistic children the support they need'

Is the guy living in the real world? I was so angry listening to his self satisfied twaddle, he should read MN and see what it is like for families with a child with autism . I was so flaming angry!

Was this the education minister-or perhaps a junior bod from education- my mum kept telling me to listen but I'm trying to protect my blood pressure at the moment.

Will tell you tomorrow whether this is true as we have the statement reveiw tomorrow and I think there are going to be several different agendas flying around the room. His class teacher is lovely though as she was talking about the number of people who will be there and how are we going to all fit in the room and then she said "and then you have to remember that somewhere at the bottom of this is a small child".

I'm glad that you didn't listen tbh. I was so angry and I have no personal interest iyswim. It was all such a pile of pie in the sky arse!

There was a terrific segment about a child in mainstream who was doing realy well. That was wonderful and the boy is obviously doing well and enjoying schol. The teacher they interviewd sounded first rate. But then there was all this bloocks about lots of support and I kept thinkg , what??

I was talking to ds1's new LSA after school and she was talking about the meetings and said "watch them pass the buck round the room- no-one will take responsibility for anything".

hey Jimjams,
why don't you get the people from Y and y in to cover your meeting. I'm sure you will get all the support you need form eberyone if it is broadcast.
Good luck
