Do Autumn/winter born Reception children all start on the same day or is it staggered?

?????

I might have to attend a study school for my MSc the first week of September next year and I would hate to miss DD's first week of starting school.

Do they all start at the same time or is it ever staggered like the start of Pre-school?

Depends on the school tbh - some may stagger and/or do parttime for a week or so. Do you knwo which school yet , to ring and check their policy ?

Should think it would depend on the school - our school starts all reception children at the same time from what I remember.

But my friend's DD had a staggered start.

I'd ring them if you can and ask what they intend to do.

Depends on the school. My son's school had all the kids start together. My son is in a class of 30. The school just put in extra LSAs for the first couple of weeks to help children settle in.

Depends on the school. IME all schools, even those in ame city, have different settling in periods. You will need to contact the individual school to find out for sure.

Sam's school broke the class into two and had afternoon and morning shifts which they rotated for half a term. Stirling's school (we moved) had them all start in small batches over a week- Stirling was in first batch as his hearing is less than perfect.

Second was much easier with childcare etc.
