Nurseries in the Ashbury/Faringdon area (Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border)

Hi!
Long time lurker, first time poster
My daughter is 8 months and as I return to work in August she will have to go into nursery care.
As I was waiting on a job transfer to come through I didn't apply to any nurseries until recently (I should have done, really) and now I am panicking.
As I live in Ashbury, work in Oxford and DH works in Malmesbury it will be a nightmare getting her to and from nursery...
I looked at The Old Station nursery in Faringdon, which looked ok... but not a lot of green space to play outside
The Cottage nursery just outside Shrivenham looked nicer but they apparently have a ''huge'' waiting list (I did feel slightly looked down on when I visited this one, albeit I loved how the playarea looked)
I am going to visit the Hillborough nursery in Bishopstone (which is ridiculously expensive and has a scary review on the internet mentioning child abuse! which looks slightly fake)
Does anyone have any experience with any of these nurseries? Can anyone recommend another one in the area?
I am sorry if I am relatively incoherent, English is not my native language and I am so tired and panicky!

Have you considered loking for a nursery close to where one of you works, rather than where you live?

I have but it would mean a 30 mile commute for my daughter each way, I am not sure that would be very fair on her?

Yes, but less time actually spent at nursery presumably, plus you'll be closer if they ever need you to collect her (although that only applies to one of you). It would also give you more nurseries to consider since there will be more in large towns like Oxford and Swindon.
