DD is 7 and in yr2. I would like to improve her English and maths. Do you think 7 is too young?

What does her teacher say?

I haven't asked her teacher but at parents evening he said she was at the required level but felt she could achieve much more but she doesn't always concentrate or pay attention in class.

If she's at the required level, you could leave her be currently. Her focus will improve as she matures, naturally.

It's a shame to create extra work or pressure if you have no real need to do so.

It is very close to summer holiday now what about just get a couple of books and do a little with your dd every day during the holiday. Also then you know whether your can manage it by yourself or if you need to pay someone else. Tbh I have to pay someone to support my dd because when it comes to school works we just don't get along! Some parents knows how to support their dcs very well. But just not me! sad
