Christmas holiday camps?

Help! Can anyone recommend any holiday camps for 5&6 yr old children being run this Christmas (this week/next) which last all day? Ideally in central london (where my husband works) or around Fulham (where we live). Most of them don't run during the Christmas holidays and I'm ridiculously behind on work deadlines... all tips welcome.

You might try local day nurseries. Some will take slightly older children during school holidays.

In my experience Wandsworth Council were always best at both activites and compiling information. This list is a good starting point.

On the list, Arty Party was a firm favourite when the childrern were much younger. When they were a bit older there are sports camps (swim schemes like Maximum Performance, football camps: Bedhead FC dont seem to have anything on this Christmas but will have camps later in the year, cricket etc.) Plus after the age of 7 they can start doing things like Camp Beaumont.

You might also search other Council websites, or look at what is on offer at your local leisure centre.

It was all a bit hectic. Thank goodness they are now more than old enough to be left on their own and to boil their own pasta!

Our youngest did a camp there about 5 years ago and loved it
Hope that helps

I think Mad Science had some camps on but I deleted the emails so can't check but you could google? They do various London districts.

I think Super Camps do courses at Christmas, but it might be only the week/s before, not after. Not much help, I'm afraid.

Do you know any responsible teenagers/students who could help out for a fee?

All, thanks so much for your tips. Mad Science sounds spot on Wisteria (but sadly they didn't run a course this week). Super camps stopped all courses vaguely near us (Putney) at Christmas. Needmoresleep what a brilliant bunch of ideas, thank you. We're not a member of David Lloyd, TalkinPeace, but the club we are a member of meanly stopped all children's sports lessons over Christmas - said most families disappear to Dorset/Bahamas for a month (sigh - sometimes I wonder if we pulled the short straw).
We ended up signing them up for Fulham FC for the day they were running (only to then turn up in the wrong place) and spent the rest of the week ignoring them (lego! you love lego! do this one, it should take you at least 5 hours!!!) as I worked. I like to think they'll respect me for it one day...
