Chance to be smug and say

For those of you who followed our "promotion" thread. Today I picked ds up from school, the 5 kids in Yr1 still come out with rec class who had been baking biscuits and were being given their biscuits as they came out- no biscuits for the five "promoted" ones. ds came out and promptly burst into tears and then sobbed "no-one in year 1 likes me". The focus of the tears was really over the biscuit but his comment really got to me. I then had to fight back the tears, luckily I was with another mum I know and I managed to pull myself together! Am going into the Yr1 class tomorrow to see how it's organised etc but will have words about what happened today, at least two of the five were in tears.
I was feeling calmer about the whole thing but this has just set me right back almost to square one.
