Is it worth paying for French lessons for 6 year old?

Son (nearly 7) has been doing La Jolie Ronde for about 18 months now but doesn't seem to be remembering much French, and is very vague about the words the teacher says he's learnt on his report. I'm not expecting him to be able to converse or anything (couldn't do it myself) but is it worth forking out ?50 plus every term? Is something sinking in that I don't know about that'll make him easier with languages than I was? Or can he wait till he gets French at middle school, free, gratis and for nothing?

I think it depends whether he enjoys going or not
If he does enjoy it, then I would either try and meet the french teacher or phone her/him to discuss what they do and the fact that he doesn't seem to remember much
I taught for Le Club Francais for a couple of years, which I enjoyed, but Le Club and La Jolie Ronde tend to employ people who are not necessarily qualified teachers and who may have very little experience of teaching anyone.
They do get some training but it really depends on the person who has the franchise and recruits them.
maybe you also need to speak to other parents and see what they think

He does enjoy it as there are games and colouring and so on. But I'm just wondering about the expense especially as his brother has just started school and all expenses could potentially double. Money isn't the total issue but I'm not convinced much is sinking in.

i think more goes in than you think, my toddlers spent months looking out the window then one day announced the traffic light was rojo, i nearly crashed the car.
