And has upgraded to the "Senior" cloakroom (ie Years 5 - 8)

She went off to her new class with her friends and didn't even kiss me goodbye

I understand
My baby started yr5 this week too.
I'm just devastated that he's only got two more years at his fantastic school

Then we have to throw him to the lions!

Mine started on Tuesday. I had a sleepless night on Monday fretting about ds2 starting school (legitimate, I think) and ds1 going into Year 5 (the latter mostly along the lines of...only this year and the next and then it's secondary school).

But he hasn't kissed me goodbye since going into the Juniors...and this morning wouldn't even stand with me in the playground before the doors opened I was really tempted to wail across the playground, "but I gave birth to you, fed you with my own milk, stayed awake all night with you when you were ill...you ungrateful wretch!" but then I think he'd disown me altogether

Oh thanks Roisin and Marthamoo for making me feel less alone in my madness!

And you have mentioned the dreaded word secondary

Even though mine is at a school which ends at 13 (so 4 more years of relative cossetting) we have to start looking at senior schools this year.

And she's only 9......

I think we're doomed to worry for ever. About everything. I remember fretting about ds1 to my Mum once and she said, "just wait til he starts driving..."

Lol

This morning dd still didn't kiss me goodbye at school but she did say to me "You will take me in every morning won't you Mummy?"
