DD and DS#1 went back back to school yesterday. The last 2 weeks DS#1 has been in tears and bad-tempered because of going back to school (he didn't get on with his teacher and had a bad year). DD was worried about her new teacher because she was told he was very strict. DS#2 was also due to start nursery on the same day - he's been used to one-to-one with his CM who has TBH over-indulged him a little (he's her last mindee as she's retiring) and not too good at routines . And to make it worse his keyworker wasn't going to be there.

So keyed myself up for a hard morning - tears and tantrums etc. But no....happy DS#2 - went in like a little lamb and behaved himself all day (apart from trying to blag strawberries off the housekeeper before lunch). DD was skipping out of her classroom and seems to have the scary teacher wrapped around her little finger already . And best of all DS#1 loves his classroom, his teacher and when I spoke to her she told me he had been great in class and actually SPOKE in front of the whole class !

I am so happy and releived..... I dread going back to school more than the kids so
