Hi

Ds in Yr 7, need some help with maths revision as they have tests after half term.
Need something 'visual' to keep his interest as he doesn't like revision and needs to consolidate the theory behind fractions and decimals particularly.

We used the BBC bitesize for CE Maths revision and it seemed to do the trick

DS used Mymaths as LIZS suggested and also BBC bite size. Talk to your child's school & should be able to help you.

Level 3 CE maths is the same as KS3 maths but does not include trigonometry (sin, cos, tan), quadratic equations and a couple of other bits.

Any KS3 site will be fine. For practice books do not buy expensive books from Galore Park, for which you also need to buy the equally expensive answer books. The CGP type KS3 revision and practice books they sell in Wh Smith are much cheaper and I think better.

It is worth trying to get hold of some past papers. CE maths is very formulaic e.g. the first page will be on significant numbers. If you look at a few your DS will have a good idea what's expected and what's coming next.
