TA Interview

Hi

I have an interview tomorrow as a TA. I am ok with the questions that will be asked but I have an observation before the formal interview where I have to do an activity or game with some Y2 children and I just can't think of much. My ideas seem stupid. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Pick some key words - suggest days of the week and months. Put them on cards. They need to order them. Then test to see if they can spell them, then either with playdough or magnetic letters they spell thm one at a time. After each one you show them how to chunk it down. It may be you only get two or three done.

Have a look online at the Year 2 curriculum for either literacy or numeracy (whichever you feel more comfortable with) and then go on the TES site and search for activities which match that area. (why invent the wheel and it shows you can do your research).
Also, try and remember, and use, the children's names as much as possible!
Good Luck
