can he go to school?

ds spent friday in hospital with his neck in spasm.
He is much better now but he is continuing to experience some neck discomfort.
I am worried that if he attends school on Monday that he may hurt himself in the playground-although I think he is well enough to be at school.
Would it be acceptable in those circumstances to ask for him to be kept in at lunchtime or will I be expected to keep him off altogether?

Keeping him in at lunchtime sounds very reasonable to me! Good idea.

The difficulty with asking for your ds to be kept in at lunchtime is that there may not be anyone to supervise him.

At my last school we were not able to let children stay in, for precisely this reason.

Sorry - hope it has worked out ok for your ds.

At our school any kids who need to be kept away from the (sometimes boisterous) activity of the playground spend the time with the school nurse, and their friends are allowed to come in for quiet visits two at a time. Maybe something similar is possible for your DS?

kept him off today-but as I watched him jumping from a high backed chair onto the sofa in my sitting room wondered what greater risk he could be at at school! intend to take him in tomorrow and ask them to keep an eye on him!
