A few weeks ago my son who is 11 was diagnosed finally with a tremor he has always had it but -you know the usual he will grow out of it etc.Our consultant said in one so young it is uncommon but i explained school is a problem he cant do neat and fast work. Her said he would write to scvhool with hs recommendations and he has!
After the holidays my son will do all his work on laptop and will be given touch type lessons and extra time to complete assesments and written work,i am beyond happy that finally my lad is getting the same opportunities with his work that everyone else has.

That's great. Is your ds excited that he can use a laptop at school? I bet all the other kids will be jealous

This is great news. Sounds like a good consultant. It's great to hear that the school are working well now to help support your ds.

My DS has cerebral palsy and he can't write fast or neatly because he is affected in his hands, the school have a Alphasmart now for him to do all his written work on, its great, he loves it. The school now think he needs something 'more grownup' so are asking the education to fund another sort of alphasmart.
