And if so, how??? And if not, don't they get lost at PE time?

No I don't and they have never been lost yet. I name plimsolls though - just with a ball point pen inside at the side.

Hmm, he is starting in an hour and a half, so easy2name might not deliver in that time! Thanks for the suggestion though - any other thoughts?

Yes because there are so many identical start rites and clarks that they will come home in the wrong (and ill fitting) shoes.
Cash's do stick in name labels. I'll try to find a link.

NomDePlume!!

I iron on a name tag to the underside of the tounge, there is a fabric label there.

That might work noughts and crosses - I've got some iron on labels.

yes - I write in plimsolls with a laundry pen and I use the same stickers as hulababy for school shoes (you can get some in Clarks shops - they send them off, or in Startrite places as well as any of the online ones)

This time (now joining a school where everything has to be named) we got some stickies shaped to go inside the heels of the shoes on the sole. Previously just done them with indelible pen either on the tongue label or side or in gold marker if the interior is black or blue.

He won't do PE first day tortoiseshell - maybe not for a few weeks. You have time to sort yurself!

not much to do than write them in with a permanent marker then!

lonelymum I'm sure you're right, but just don't want him to have any un-necessary stress!

I stick a lable in the bottom and then use a shoe label cover over the top (both from Easy to name)
Alternatively, a lot of shoes (Clarks one) have a space to write the name in.
ALWAYS name shoes as they all wear the same pair! We came home from a friends' once in the wrogn pair, wrong size too....

Cash's
list of suppliers, not mail order.

Forgive me, but it sounds like you are the one stressing! My children don't bat an eyelid when they come home for the enth time with the wrong jumper or no jumper at all, and it doesn't even stress them to see their mother jumping up and down enraged by their repeated carelessness!

still have unused labels Much simpler to get out a marker pen and label them with that. I have such problems with the kids shoes I'd cry if they went missing!

I know twig - I tried to suggest to ds that we named his shoes, but he didn't get it !

Report
Bozza · 07/09/2005 11:27

DS did once get a pair of 8H brown Startrite Boots mixed up at a party. I just write in them with a marker pen. Problem is that with his nursery wellies it came right through so you had the reverse of his name on the outside.
