Does anyone use these and can you recommend one?

DP has his eye on a bike but we'll be out when the auction ends. He wants to put in the bid at the last minute to foil silly people who put in a 'maximum bid' that's lower than their actual top price. If they are willing to pay moer than him and say so then they will win the auction anyway, so it's not hurting anyone.

I use esnipe, very good, can snipe within last few seconds. Sneaky but good!

Thanks guys, the bike actually got up to more than DP was willing to pay for it before the end anyway, but we'll definitely bear these in mind for any others that come up.

oo it's frustrating when that happens, isn't it!

Definitely use a sniper in future though - you get things for a better price, and it also means you can back out after making an impulsive bid on something and then changing your mind later (I do this quite a lot!)
