How long roughly would something take to arrive from the US?

I'm pondering ordering something from ebay but it's from the US and I need it in a week's time, am I right in thinking it won't arrive in a week? Have not ordered from abroad before.

i doubt it would arrive in a week, afaik their customs clearing takes quite a while, have never ordered myself, but know people that have waited weeks for things like t shirts to arrive.

Doubt it....I sell from Italy to UK and though stuff can arrive in as little as 4 days I always state it will take at least 2 weeks.....

I used to order a lot of fabric from the US via an ebay shop and, if I ordered at the weekend if would usually be here by the following weekend, probably Friday or Saturday. Occasionally it would be the following Monday.

Depends on the seller of course. I used to order from small businesses and they used to be very focussed on getting your order out to you quickly and presevering their good feedback score. Bigger business aren't necessarily so quick off the mark because they aren't so bothered about personal service.

Could you email them and explain you would like it sooner rather than later? Appeal to their better nature?
