My feedback percentage has got lower

It was around 95 %, caused by several people claiming they hadn't got the items (I clearly state I post on Fridays or saturdays)and leaving negative feedback, even after I know they have received it. Anyway, I sold about 12 things over the past 6-8 weeks and none of them have left feedback yet. All the things were posted and received. Now for some reason my feedback percentage has gone down to 89%. How come it's gone down if I ahven't received any neg feedbacks

The percentage is based on the last twelve months only, so I imagine some positives have dropped off as now over 12 months which means the negatives now carry more weight.

So would it be really off of me to send emails to the buyers of recent items (I have left feedback for all of them) and ask them to leave me mine?

I have had people email me and ask for feedback before. You could ask them - but word it nicely, in a way that says you are just checking that they received their items and are happy, and that you would appreciate them leaving you feedback.

Have you already left feedback for your buyers? I get rather annoyed with sellers asking me for feedback but they won't leave theirs first. If I've paid promptly then surely I'm entitled to positive feedback? It's not even as if they can leave negative feedback as tit for tat to a buyer's negative feedback anymore! So would agree with the "word it nicely" comment above!

duh, just realised that you said you've left feedback, in which case it's fine to send a nice email requesting feedback from them
