Bought a new pair of shoes for my dd on ebay, paid on April 1st and still don't have them!

E-mailed the seller bout 2 weeks ago who said she had sent them ages ago and they should have arrived but would send another pair if I still wanted them. I said yes and also asked if she would e-mail me when she posted them so I knew when to expect them.

Still not arrived and e-mailed the seller again, who said again they were posted a while ago! And she hadn't let me know when they were posted.

Checked paypal - my address details are correct, so I just don't know what to do. Should i ask for a refund by now?

Thanks in advance.

Go to your local Post Office Delivery Office and see if they are there. Our postman sometimes forgets to put a card through the door to say that's where it's gone, or it gets thrown out with the rest of the junk mail.
After that you need to ask the seller for proof of posting.

It's up to the seller to claim through Royal Mail for her refund but do just check at your local sorting office as BFB says. If not there yes ask for refund - file a dspute for non receipt if refund isn't forthcoming.

If it's not at PO then ask for refund in full, give them says 24hrs if no word and no refund take to paypal dispute asap.

It's upto the seller to claim for it missing with her prrof of posting, not you.
