I'm fairly new to this ebay selling milarky. I am trying to list a Louis Vuitton handbag but I keep getting this stupid message saying i need to prove my identity by confirming my bank details on paypal and/or linking it with my ebay account. This has already been done I thought. I have been buying using paypal for several months now and have succesfully listed two other items this week. Apparently I now have to wait for three to five days to get some e-mails which will tell me how much money under a £ paypal has credited my account with. I then have to confirm these amounts in order to proove my identity! AAAAGGGGHHHHRRR!!!!!
Is this normal? What's going on? I can't list my bag until I sort this out.

Is it because it is a designer item and if so, what can I do about it?

This is how you verify yourself to paypal. They will pay a few pence into your account, you have to reply to them with these details. It can take 2 weeks. Unless you complete this, you can pay with paypal but not received funds.

Also, once you have more than 10 transactions, any payments paid to you will be 'held' for 21 days or until positive feedback left. Yes that means you have to send the item as the buyer has paid but you will not get it until they leave positive or after 21 days.

Thanks Carrie- What a drag though! Is this just for first time sellers?

You have to do this if you want to receive money in your account.

If you sell on ebay and your detailed seller ratings are low you will have the payment withheld-thing until they improve, or if you have a disupute your account gets frozen and nothing can come in or out or if you get I think 2 or 3 negs within a month/percentage of your sales.

Another way for paypal to screw more pennies out of us!!
