Good time to sell toys or not?

Have just listed ds's v large Brio train set on ebay. Was thinking that before xmas would be a good time to sell as lots of buyers looking for xmas presents.

Now I'm not so sure ... everyone else must be thinkin the same and there are loads of other similar sets listed and they only seem to be going for £20 - £25. (This for a toy that costs £200 new.)

Would it actually be better to wait to sell in, say, Spring, when not everyone else trying to do it at the same time, with the hope of getting a better price?

I got a great price for our selection of old brio about 6 weeks ago. Possibly a little close to Christmas now? Not sure. I'm holding off listing the wooden PLAN dollshouse, even though I quite want to be rid of it.

Hhmmm hard to tell - you could have a bidding frenzy in the last few minutes or you could be bitterly disappointed.

If you're not in a rush to sell I would hold off.

i think id wait. I sold couple of toys still boxed as new and got hardly anything for them. I dont think many people want to buy used toys for christmas, and they won't be buying things for the sake of it this close on. I think spring would be far better.
