Do buyers still get asked if they want to pay the credit card fee by Paypal?

I'm sure that some people will think that I'm being unreasonable, but I'm getting fed up of paying a fee because a buyer has chosen to fund their paypal transaction with a credit/debit card. I have paid out for this fee on all of the last five items that I have bought. When I opened up my paypal account, I had to change it to being funded by direct bank transfer within a certain time limit and this made me a verified user. If I wanted to use a debit card, paypal asked if I wanted to pay the fee or if I wanted to make the seller foot the bill. I can see why people want the seller to pay the fee but I'm starting to feel that this is more than a bit rude! It's not my choice that they are choosing to pay like this and it means that I don't get the full amount for the item that I've sold.

It makes no difference how the buyer pays you (paypal balance, credit card, debit card or echeque) still get charged a fee . There is no option for the buyer to over this fee or to pass it on to you, its the sellers responsiblity.

I feel for you as I am seriously peed off with amount I am paying to ebay and paypal at the moment too!!

I am really with paypal because I never used to have to pay a fee, I'm sure. It almost makes it not worth bothering by the time you've paid all of the fees.
