I have had a request from a buyer for a BIN price, but my item already has bids on it. Is there anything I can do?
thanks.

Well, yes, you can, but it's a bit difficult timing wise because the enquirer needs to bid before someone else spots it and does so first.

In the past, buyers have agreed with us to make a direct paypal payment and then we've just closed the auction. But it's a risk for the buyer as they aren't protected by ebay on the sale. DH has incredibly and muchos feedback so normally they agree.

Otherwise, you can say yes, stick the BIN on by revising your listing and just advise them at what time you intend to do this.

You can't add a BIN once it has bids I'm afraid. - unless you cancel bids, which isn't a good idea at all.
If it already has bids and you've been asked for a BIN then I reckon the bids will shoot up and you may get quite a bit for it

Sorry, Six is right, if there are bids already you can't alter any part of the listing.

You can pull the auction, but it's not strictly "ebay" legal.

As the others have said, once you item has bids you can't add a BIN.

You could agree a price with the person, get them to put in a bid that makes them the current highest bidder, end the listing to sell to 'highest current bidder' then add any extra to the P&P but that is a right faff.

The chances are the item is worth more then the BIN the buyer is after!
