You sold a boys outfit on ebay for £15. The auction ended on 21-Jun-08 23:40:20 BST.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120274499711&_trksid=p2763.l1259

I didnt get payment untill 20th July, and i posted it straight away with other ebay things.

I just got an email saying that they didnt recieve it.

I always get proof of postae, but it was a month ago, and i probably threw it out, i cant find it anywhere.

What can i do? They paid by paypal, will they just claim it back? I think they might be having a laugh though.. or why wait this long to ask about it?

they will probably be able to claim a refund via paypal as you don't have a tracking number.

Message them back (via ebay) and say that you have tracked the their item which was sent recorded delivery on the 20th July and it shows that it was signed for on the 21st July. Hopefully they will reply by saying "but you only sent it normal post" in which case...... how would they know that if they hadn't received it?

i would cut my losses, refund them (because they'll get it anyway) and then never sell on ebay again.

a lot of buyers on there are just plain old taking the piss because they can due to PayPal's treatment of sellers and the feedback thing - and wouldn't dare get away with what they do if they'd bought the item from a normal shop.

Have you got any proof of posting from the same time, the number run in order.

Or make a claim from royal mail with another prrof of posting using their emails etc to prove they didn't receive. A bit dodgy tbh but they will get their paypal refund unless you close the paypal account before they make the claim. Fob them off for a while whilst you shut your paypal and ebay account?

I can't find amything :| we had a flood last month though, so i dont know what we lost.
It just seems a bit strange that its taken them so long to email me. She said she has been in hospital for ages.

holly - this buyer has 100% feedback, so I think if it was me, I would refund them. I would also make a claim against Royal Mail, even without the proof of posting, it's worth a try to recover your money.

She'll be able to get the money from PayPal anyway so best you give it to her and not get a neg from it.
