New to selling on ebay. Some fees and Paypal questions.

My first ebay experience was selling a car! I have since used it a few times to buy but we're now thinking about selling some stuff instead of doing a car boot sale.

I can't seem to find details of how much selling/listing fees are - is it dependent on the eventual price or is it set before you sell? Is that all you have to pay ebay? A fee for each item?

Also, am I right in thinking that when you recieve money through paypal more than a few times per year you have to start paying fees? And is that for buying and selling transactions? And how much are the fees?

Thanks

when you list something it will tell you how much listing fees are at bottom of the page as your listing

when you recieve money its so much per pound i think for 5 pounds its about 50p fee no fee for sending money though

you can check sellers fees by going to sellers account and checking fees in there thats normally down side of page in my ebay

Thanks bubbla. That's quite a lot for Paypal

I still can't find any specifics about fees, I've looked in the seller acc bit. Maybe I'll just give it a go with a couple of items and see what happens

yep then paypal charge you to take out less than £50 if you want to remove what youve been paid!!!

dont expect to make millions or even hundreds from a wardrobe clear out by the time ebay and paypal have had their share!!

Thanks Knickers. That's really helpful.

Think I might stick with a car boot sale!
