Help - which address to post to?

I'm a very occasional ebay seller & not sure what the right thing to do here is...

I sold an item yesterday evening and the buyer's shipping address on the 'You've sold your ebay item' email is different to the paypal address on the instant payment email and furthermore the paypal address is unconfirmed. If I view order details in ebay it shows the paypal address.

I've contacted the buyer to clarify but no response - I'd really like to post this morning as I'm going to the PO, is the paypal address always the right one to use?

i'd say the paypal addy is the way to go.

If you send to an unconfirmed Paypal address you will not be covered by Paypal.

Thanks. I've sent it to the paypal addy. I realise it's not covered by paypal, but I can get a cert of posting which gives PO cover at least.

i'd personally wait for confirmation from the buyer, have done similar and parcel was never seen again!

also send to lots of unconfirmed addresses with no trouble.

I would also recommend sending everything Recorded Delivery. It's only an additional £0.70 (which obviously you include in your P&P prices) & it means you have covered your bum.

If they raised a claim/dispute you don't have a leg to stand on even a Proof Of Posting as it's not trackable - sucks but true.

Ahh! Well too late not to send now, so we'll see. It has gone recorded though.

That's good - at least if the seller kicks up a stink you can proove you sent it to the address on PP!
