That's happened to me before. It took ages to get the stuff because of the time it took for the payment to clear. Very annoying as I don't think I did anything different that time.

That happened to me last week, really annoying, apparently it was because I had moved house and changed address on paypal but it hadn't been changed at the bank yet.

I did that to me recently too - I sent payment and it sent it as an echeque. It has never done that before; don't know why it happened.

Go to your Paypal account online and check which bank card you have registered with them, and that it is still in date etc.

This happened to me when my bank card had expired, and I didn't update my Paypal account with my new card details.

If Paypal doesn't have a current bank card on its records, instead of debiting the card (which is more or less instant), Paypal contacts your bank for an echeque payment (which takes around a week).

I updated the card details and it's fine now.

ahhh that could well be it - got a new card a few months ago, but hadn't used paypal for much longer........

Well - looks like it is soooo long since we bought anything on EBay the card he had registered might have expired - added new card and that should sort it

Thanks for the help
