I cant see anygood points in it...

Wont buyers just have the upper hand in every way?

Why are ebay stopping sellers leaving feedback?????

Looking at the ebay message on this, they say that buyers are the lifeblood of the site, and the new system is to make them feel more welcome. Also, buyers take the biggest risk as they have to pay for goods unseen. I do not totally agree with this btw.

But AFAIK if you have a buyer with only 10 feedbacks, and they get a negative feedback from a seller, this would have a bigger impact on their score than if a seller with hundreds of positive feedbacks gets a single negative from a buyer.

TBH I am not happy with this change. If I can no longer give negative or neutral feedback for buyers, I will now report any buyer to ebay who gives me a negative for no good reason. I guess that's the only thing sellers can do and I assume that if a buyer gets reported by a lot of sellers, ebay would then consider restricting the buyer's access to ebay.

But this would take time and in the meantime an unscrupulous buyer could bid for lots ot things, not pay for them and get away with it. Sellers will no longer be able to warn other sellers of a bad buyer AFAIK.

There are links on ebay about reporting a buyer - 'opening a dispute' links for instance. I assume they will not be taken away. I am no ebay expert but I have in the past reported one or two non paying buyers.

Also if someone leaves you negative feedback, you can reply to it on your own feedback profile (which other potential buyers can view) so you can 'answer back' and justify yourself in public. Again, I assume this will still be possible....
