How long is it reasonable to wait for someone to pick an item up?

I sold a ma-housive mirror a couple of weeks ago, mainly because we're moving house and I wanted rid of it.

However, buyer keeps making excuses as to why they cannot pick up/ goes quiet again on the comms front. How long is reasonable before I say 'sorry, too slow, the mirror has gone on a one way trip to the charity shop as I need my house back'?

PS - anyone want to buy a mirror

Did you give a time limit for pick up / payment in your listing? If not I would say 2 weeks is long enough to give someone to pick up an item they had bid on.

If I were you I would send an email saying you need the money, if they don't pay / collect by X date you will have to start proceedings to recoup your fees and relist it. Just had to do this myself - I was lucky though as I knew the guy wasn't going to pick up and he admitted his 'error' only 3 days after the listing ended.
