BASTARD neg feedback

Some bastard has bought a toy off me for £5 which cost £25 new. After 4 weeks of nothing he has suddenly left neg feedback saying he is "not happy at all" because it was dusty and there was a piece missing. It may have been a bit dusty, no probs, but then I would expect anyone buying 2nd hand toys to give them a wipe before giving them to their child - it was certainly not dirty. Also. there was definitely no piece missing because I checked it as I boxed it up.

I emailed and said I was sorry he was upset - and why didn't he contact me first to explain what he thought was missing and see about a refund. FFS he hasn't told me what he think is missing, and he could have returned it and asked for a refund. But he has not replied.

Don't really know what his problem is - just a born trouble maker? If he is so unhappy then why not ask for his money back?

So should I leave him neg feedback for being unreasonable?

Am so pissed off. I have almost 2000 transactions, all 100% positive and have never had anyone be like this before. Seems so unfair that he has slagged me off when there was nothing wrong.

What would you do?

How annoying! Is there a process in place for "buyer left a negative without contacting me"?
Just a word of warning - are you 100% sure his emails didn't end up in your junk folder? Just to make sure you don't end up looking stupid, assuming not, then yes, he is an idiot.

i was reading ebay policy the other day in terms of removing feedback, and its very limited the situations where they would remove a feedback, isnt it?

i feel for you, i think this buyer is totally wrong!

Have a look at his feedback, and the feedback he leaves for others- he may leave a lot of negatives. Can you put a comment on your future listings explaining that the 1 negative feedback was nothing to do with you?
