Update on a dispute

Think I posted on here a while ago about some hair straighteners that I bought via ebay that where faulty. I returned them and the seller said they were not what she sold me. I put a dispute with paypal, whom I did the transaction through, and it was her word against mine. Just wanted to let you know that 'I won' and had my money refunded in full.

Good for you, I'm quite new to ebay but it really does seem open to all sorts of scams to me

IMO unless you want to buy something that you cannot get in a shop it's not worth going on ebay. Its best to pay a fair price and have the goods it your hand. Mostly the popular stuff goes for more money than the shops are asking for.
