eBay

Could someone clarify please: can sellers email you directly or should it all be done via ebay?

I left a negative feedback to a seller I was not happy with and now have received a very angry email (directly, not via ebay). It says how predictable that I don't have landline contact information and that I'm very dishonest and that I'm running a scam, wearing the dress and asking for a refund.... I'm a bit scared to be honest.... They have my address and seem to be really pissed off....

What is intreaging me the most is why the seller contacted me directly to my email and not via ebay. Is it normal?

So this is all regarding this, the seller left this feedback about me:

SHE OVERBID,EXCUSE OVER EXCUSE TO GET REFUND,BEWARE SELLER!!!!!!!!!

s: RECEIPTS/TAGS TO PROVE NEW, SHE WORE THIS ITEM THEN WANTED REFUND

I never even asked for refund or was offered any tags or receipts to prove the item was new. I'm sick to the stomach that I'm even dealing with someone like this....

When you contact anyone, buyer or seller, through ebay you can select whether or not to reveal your email address to them. In normal circumstances it's perfectly legitimate to email someone directly to arrange payment, collection details etc. but it sounds like the seller has chosen this route specifically so there's no record of their abusive email in ebay itself. Did you try to resolve the issue directly with them before leaving feedback?

Yes, I did. I only left the feedback once, after several tries, the seller even refused to admit that the dress was described as BNWT but it didn't come with any tags.

It maybe new, but the description should be accurate. I would not have paid what I did for a BNWOT dress, so it really pi*d me off and think I was right to leave the -feednack. Otherwise what is it there for?
