Would you follow up on this feedback?

quick delivery. Item as described. Managed to remove stains. great ebayer

The item was listed as stained, and went very cheaply in view of this. Presume the buyer just mentioned it, as saying that they were really pleased that they had managed to get the stains out (should ask them how they did it!).

Anyway, I have 601 100% positive feedback, so can't decide whether to follow up or not. If I don't, it will soon be lost with other feedbacks, if I do, it might reassure bidders on the next few auctions, but then people's eyes will be drawn to it for ages.

What would you do?

I wouldn't, it would just draw more attention to it.

That was my gut feeling. It will just stare at me until it gets lower down though. The buyer was a newbie, but still, why didn't they think about what they were typing!

yeah I'd leave it.

i had a recent FB along the lines of great book fast delivery but stolen from a school!!

I certainly messaged them explained what ex school library book means and threatened them with the legal bit regarding defamation of character etc - but in the end decided not to follow up the FB and just let it get lost...

Although someone might read that feedback and wonder quite what it meant, if the rating was a "+" then most people will either not notice or presume it was an error or there's more to it. Really wouldn't worry although would send polite email to buyer explaining why it wasn't the best feedback to give even if you "hope to do business with them again soon."!

I tend to only read negative or neutral feedback
