combining postage

I've listed quite a few bundles of stuff and stated that I'm happy to combine postage 'where possible'.
Someone is bidding on 8 lots. Some of which will be easily combined. But 2 are already large bundles and I don't think I'll be able to combine them. I don't have large enough boxes and it would be quite heavy anyway.

What can I do/say when asked to combine postage for them all?

Can you not split the items into maybe 2 x boxes of equal sizes (supermarket will have loads) and have a delivery company such as My Hermes collect them they are very reasonable on prices and you get the boxes tracked in with the price and they will collect from you saving you the trouble of getting them to a collection point, explain to your buyer what you are doing I'm sure they would be happy with that I know I would, best of luck,

If they cannot all fit into one large parcel then you can't really combine postage.

I have had something like this - where someone bought two large letter sized items but the combined postage was then for a small parcel. As long as you are honest and clear then I am sure they will understand.

You can say you'll charge them exactly what it costs to send the items and are willing to refund any combined postage cost they pay above that amount.

I get boxes free from my local shop and they also do Collect Plus. They take up to 10kg for £8.
