How long before chasing non payer?

Sold something Monday at 11am and not yet paid. I haven't chased yet - but 72 + hours seems a fair time to wait.

If they don't reply how long should I give before re listing? Seems weird as they have good feed back - but placed the winning bid ten days ago so I presume have forgotten

You can't file non-paying bidder case until 96 hours, (I think). After that they have another 4 more days to pay, then you can close the case.

Do not relist until you have fully closed the case, else you could end up w/ 2 buyers for 1 item. Go to Ebay resolution centre it will guide you thru process.

Ebay is sending them reminder emails to pay, so you shouldn't have to do any other chasing.

48 hours then you can open a case. Then 4 days until you can close it and relist (if they haven't paid)

And a buyer's fb won't be bad so isn't really relevant.

Thanks. eBay has sent a reminder and I have just sent one too. If I don't hear by this time tomorrow I will get onto eBay to open a case.

I haven't sold anything for years, this reminds me why. I was having a clear out and now I can't even get it it to a charity shop with hassle

In my experience people who are rubbish at paying often have an unreliable postal service near them. I had one of these the other week, sent the item through normal Royal Mail because it was low value and hey presto it's "lost".

So if your buyer does pay up, think about tracking.

I will thanks. It went for £10 so maybe worth the extra effort
